Questions, answered.
Short answers upfront. If you’re a fit, we’ll share deeper details during onboarding. If your question is not on the list, write to info@bioscopefoundry.com.
Model & ownership.
How is the Foundry different from private equity or a hospital roll-up?
We do not buy your practice and do not take equity. The Foundry is a management services organization — you own the practice, set clinical direction, and keep all economics. We charge a transparent monthly fee.
What does “100% ownership” actually mean?
You hold the entire cap table of your professional corporation. There is no equity, warrant, option, or right of first refusal granted to the Foundry.
How is pricing structured?
A flat monthly fee plus a small percentage of net collected revenue —never gross. The fee is published in the partner agreement and indexes only to inflation. No hidden vendor markups.
Can I sell the practice later?
Yes, to anyone, on whatever terms you negotiate. We have no right of first refusal and no consent right over a sale.
Onboarding & specialties.
Which specialties do you support today?
Internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, and psychiatry are live. Cardiology and orthopedics are in onboarding. Other specialties — write to us; we are deliberate about expansion.
How long does it take to launch a new practice?
From signed letter of intent to open doors, the average is one hundred and twenty days. Credentialing is the constraint; we begin payer enrollment on day one.
Can existing practices switch to the Foundry?
Yes — and most of our partners are existing owners looking for relief without selling. We run a parallel transition over sixty to ninety days, so no day of patient care is interrupted.
Do you support solo practitioners?
Yes. The platform is calibrated for one to twelve providers per partner. We do not serve hospital systems.
Operations & service.
Who do I call when something goes wrong?
Your operations partner. They know your practice, sign their emails, and answer their phone. There is a ticket system underneath, but it should rarely be the front door.
Does Foundry replace my EHR?
Foundry is not positioned as your EHR. It supports the operating layer around your practice and helps reduce fragmentation across systems. We are EHR-agnostic and integrate with all major systems — we will recommend one if you have not chosen, and will support yours if you have.
Where does AI fit in?
Underneath, not on top. AI scribing, claims reconciliation, and documentation review are integrated where they reduce busywork. Patient data never trains third-party models.
Leaving & aftermath.
What is “clean offboarding,” concretely?
Within ninety days of notice: full data export in standard formats, credentialing files transferred, vendor contracts reassigned where assignable, and a written transition plan for everything that is not.
Are there any minimums or lock-ins?
A twelve-month initial term. After that, ninety days is the only notice required. No volume minimums, no growth covenants, no penalties.
What if the Foundry is acquired or shut down?
Your data and your practice are governed by the same offboarding clause regardless of who owns the Foundry. A successor cannot extend, modify, or restrict it.
